Expertise and Research Interests

Safety analysis, probabilistic risk assessment (PRA/PSA), natural catastrophe risk analysis (seismic, wind, geologic, and associated perils) especially as it applies to nuclear plants, & structures-systems-components (SSCs), regulatory research, and R&D in nuclear technologies.

More specifically, I have worked in recent years on:
(A) Gen-IV Reactors, esp. the Supercritical Water-cooled Reactor (SCWR)
     (thermalhydraulics, materials issues, fuel cycle options)
(B) Nuclear Hydrogen Production   (C) Nuclear Technology in Oil Sands Applications, (D) Fusion and
(E) Small and Medium Nuclear Reactor (SMR) assessment
